David Mohn, President<\/h3>

David brings over 45 years of dedicated experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Driven by a passion for helping clients make wise financial decisions, he specializes in minimizing risk, protecting assets, and using strategic leverage to create and preserve wealth that becomes a lasting legacy for families and businesses. His expertise includes advanced tax mitigation strategies, estate and legacy planning, and business continuation planning. David built SD Mohn Insurance Services on a foundational value: the client always comes first. To deliver truly unbiased and independent advice, he made the deliberate choice to keep the firm independent \u2014 free from the control or influence of any outside insurance carrier. A firm believer in long-term legacy, he sees his son, Scott, as his natural succession plan. Together, they share the same strong moral and ethical values, giving clients the confidence of consistent, trustworthy guidance across generations. Outside of work, David enjoys traveling the world \u2014 especially to Italy \u2014 with his wife of 48 years, Dani. They also cherish spending time with their four grandchildren in California and Oklahoma. Scott Mohn, Vice President<\/h3>

Scott brings 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry and a lifelong passion for business. Growing up with a strong interest in business operations and numbers, Scott studied accounting and business management in college. He launched his insurance career independently in Montana before joining his father, David, at the family firm. Scott complements the company\u2019s deep experience with modern balance and innovation. From sales and client service to technology implementation, he helps the company stay efficient and competitive in today\u2019s fast-paced environment. Through hands-on mentoring from his father, industry networking, and studying advanced financial strategies, Scott has developed a well-rounded expertise that strengthens the firm\u2019s ability to deliver exceptional results. As David\u2019s succession plan, he ensures the firm\u2019s independence, integrity, and personalized approach will continue for the next generation of clients and their families. Scott lives in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, near Lake Tahoe, with his wife Kourtney of seven years and their two young children. He is raising his family with the same integrity and values his father instilled in him. They enjoy boating, kayaking, backpacking, and exploring California\u2019s diverse outdoor landscapes from the mountains to the ocean. Scott also gives back to the community by coaching Little League, while Kourtney volunteers at their children\u2019s school.<\/span>
